Saint Paul Community Water Tank Project

Project was funded by Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium under cooperative project agreement #AN 03-N20. The project consisted of three phases:

(1) Bid #05-01: Demolition of the three existing concrete water tanks. Project was competitively bid and awarded to Kelly Ryan, Inc. of Seattle Washington. Work was completed during the summer of 2004.

(2) Force Account: Removal of existing supply and distribution piping from the 3 concrete tanks to be demolished, and installation of new supply, drain and distribution piping to the new tank. Tank piping was removed prior to Tank Demolition during the spring of 2004. New distribution piping and manifold in the valve building was installed after tank demolition was completed in the fall of 2004. Aggregate was hauled, placed and compacted to bring the site up to the new finish grade.

(3) Bid #05-02: Construction of a new nominal 840,000 gallon water tank. Project was competitively bid and awarded to International Pipe and Tank of Portland Oregon. Tank was completed and place in service during the summer of 2006.
