Saint Paul Fire Station & CBSFA Crane Storage Building Project

Bid #08-02 Mechanical and Electrical: - The City of Saint Paul is currently advertising for bids to construct the mechanical and electrical for the building. Bid documents for this phase of the project are available for download below, or can be viewed at The Plans Room in Anchorage. Full drawing set is supplied for reference by the building mechanical and electrical contractor. Existing building foundation, shell, interior partition walls and floors, and utilities are shown as "as-built." Mechanical and electrical features that are not included in the project are noted as "NIC" (Not in contract) on the revised plans. Questions should be directed to Polarconsult.

BID 08-02 Addendum & Clarification

This following work on this project has being completed in two prior phases:


(1) Force Account:

City crews removed existing organics and installed compacted aggregate at the site to finish grade for building construction. (Completed August 2007)

City crews installed electric, water and sewer services to the building after building shell was completed. (Completed September 2008)

City crews roughed in interior frame walls and mezzanine floors. (Completed September 2008)

City crews will install interior insulation and sheet rock finishs after mechanical and electrical rough-in, and prior to completion.


(2) Bid #07-01 Building Shell: The City of Saint Paul advertised for bids and awarded a contract to Pro-West Construction to pour concrete foundation, install underslab piping, supply and erect the building shell. Project was substantially complete January 6, 2008.
